As a general preface to the presentation of the online City Voices Reader Demographic I'd like to let you, our readers, know what is happening in general with the website. Our readers are from 64 countries around the world at this point, not just New York City. Most of our readers come to us via Google! We are projecting near 200,000 hits for this year. We are getting our message of empowerment out to people that need a positive message all around the world! We are currently looking for advertisers online, but space is limited. For information of how to advertise with us e-mail me at kd3qc@yahoo.com Our reader demographics survey has been up for 3 months and to date we have gotten 62 respondents. For those who chose to answer our questionnaire, thank you for your time! There are 4 basic areas that we queried. Mental Health Status, Gender, Age, and Diagnosis.

To the heart of the matter. Most of City Voices's readers are mental health consumers, the second largest group of readers are the family members of someone with a mental illness, and lastly are the mental health professionals. We are just about evenly read by males and females with a slightly male bias. Most of our readers were between 22 and 30 years of age, people aged between 31-40, 41-50, and 51-60 had equal showing among our readers, and the group that seemed to read us online least was the up to 21 years of age group. As for the diagnoses of our readers, the largest single group had a diagnosis of schizophrenia. There were as many people on our site as family members/ friends as people diagnosed with schizophrenia. The next largest group of readers were those with depression, then bipolar disorder, and our least represented groups of readers are those with schizoaffective and "other" mental conditions.
