On the Glorious day of August 18, 1971, God gave Eula Thompson and the late Lawrence Fagbewesa the greatest gift, their baby girl Ruby, the youngest daughter of seven children. Ruby departed this life on Friday, November 11, 2005 in Brookdale Hospital.

Ruby graduated from Eastern District High School in Brooklyn, New York. Thereafter, she attended and graduated Nyack College. She cherished working with people and decided upon a career as an advocate for the mentally disabled.

Ruby was hard working and truly dedicated to helping and serving all those who she could. She was well-respected by her peers at Baltic Street Mental Health Board's Brooklyn Peer Advocacy Program where she will be greatly missed.

Ruby was characterized as a warm and caring person. Her personality would allow anyone to develop an affectionate and friendly relationship with her. She was sincere, loving and honest. Ruby wore a smile as bright as the sun and was able to bring joy and happiness to everyone.
